India Oasis Church is in the process of preparing for another trip to India later this year and will again be taking an offering to help bless the needs of the people.
Ethiopia
Ralph Upton has safely returned from his recent trip to Ethiopia and has shown us a video from the trip, we would like to thank Ralph and look forward to seeing some pictures and information from his trip on the website soon.
Manfred Mann
Oasis Church held an evening with Paul Jones the ex-lead singer of Manfred Man, on Sunday October 9th at 6pm in the Ynyswen Welfare Hall. the evening was excellent and we are greatfull to Paul Jones.
Community Shop
Oasis is proud to announce the opening of a community shop which is managed by Ralph Upton of the Valley of Hope Project.
Harvest India Visit
Pastor Sudheer Kuma of Harvest India visited Oasis Church on the 15th of May and talked about the ongoing work in India.
Oasis is currently involved in Prison Ministry and regularly go into Parc Prison to minister to the people. Ralph Upton who ministered for six years at H.M.P. Liverpool and now heads up the Valley Of Hope project, which is one of our links, heads up the prison ministry.
We now minister on a fairly regular basis in Parc Prison Bridgend and Eastwood Park prison, which although in England is the prison for women from the Rhondda Valley. The team consists of a variety of people Sue Evans leads the worship, Dave Barker does tricks and Ralph & Jeff Evans preach the word of God. Other people from the church come and simply join in the service and often pray afterwards for people they have met all are very valuable to the team.
It is a privilege to minister to people many of whom would never go inside a church so it is a ministry that really is on the edge.
In partnership with the Valley Of Hope project we are embarking on a volunteer mentoring scheme to be a bridge between the prison and the community.
